B Conclusions: b Our institution has observed increased utilization of LMWH as an initial anticoagulant in patients with low or intermediate risk PE for whom PERT is activated. The implementation of a multidisciplinary pulmonary embolism response team (PERT) has been associated with improved patient outcomes and changes in anticoagulant utilization. B Introduction: b Consensus guidelines recommend low molecular weight heparin (LMWH) over unfractionated heparin (UFH) in most PE patients, however, UFH remains the most common initial anticoagulant at many institutions.
