The article discusses research done on the clinical spectrum of infective endocarditis (IE) in critically ill patients and the effect of neurologic complications on results. The study subjects included patients with definitive IE from intensive care units in hospitals located in France. The results revealed several types of complications including mycotic aneurysm, brain abscess, and meningeal reaction. |
