مستخلص: The article cites a study focusing on the chronic and acute effects of smoking on left and right ventricular relaxation in young healthy smokers. The researchers assessed the behavior of healthy volunteers and nonsmokers. Echocardiographic examination was done in the study group before and after smoking cigarette. It was concluded that mitral valve flow and pulmonary venous flow demonstrate left ventricle relaxation impairment in healthy smokers before and after smoking cigarette.
