مستخلص: The article presents a study which defined the mechanisms of STAT3 transcription factor activation and its functional importance in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) pathogenesis. The analysis revealed a close correlation of sensitivity with levels of tyrosine-phosphorylated STAT3 and of the gp 130 receptor, an upstream signaling component. It has found that STAT3 supports the development of therapeutic approaches targeting this pathway.
