The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) successfully repelled an attack by suspected bandits on a government-owned grain silo in the Dutsinma Local Government Area of Katsina State. The bandits attempted to destroy the grain reserves and abduct the manager, but were overpowered by the NSCDC's Agro Rangers after a two-hour gun duel. The silo, which stores grains for distribution to Katsina, Zamfara, and Sokoto states, was undamaged. The NSCDC has increased personnel and firepower at the location to prevent future attacks.
