The article presents a study on the Rapid diagnosis of extra pulmonary tuberculosis (EPTB) using automated Xpert MTB/RIF assay. The authors aim to asses the efficiency of the assay for the reliable diagnosis of EPTB in India. They state that the assay is a reliable diagnostic assay for the detection of Mycobacterium tuberculosis, as well as rifampicin resistance in EPTB samples. |
