مستخلص: The article discusses a study which recorded the discovery of the oldest known fossil fig wasps from England dated at 34 millennia (Ma) and examined their mutualism with fig trees. The researchers used light microscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and confocal microscopy (CLSM) to examine the anatomy of fig wasps and fig trees. It was concluded that the key co-adaptive features of the fig tree and fig wasp mutualism were already established 34 Ma.
