A 67-year-old woman with radiotherapy-induced thoracic gastrotracheal fistula could not undergo surgery because of poor physical condition (as assessed by the surgeon), and so a partially covered stent was placed to cover the fistula opening in the trachea. Stenting led to stenosis and dyspnea. The fistula had healed, and so the patient was advised to undergo stent removal
