The article examines the link of manganese superoxide to progression of carcinogenesis in Barrett Esophagus. Inadequate levels of superoxide (SOD) can accelerate oxidative inflammatory processes. It can be expressed at high levels in tumors and make then nonresponders to radiotherapy. SOD was assessed by both Northern and Western techniques. |
