A contrast-enhanced computed tomography abdomen depicted a large well-defined heterogeneous lesion with a large cystic component in the retroperitoneum with surrounding inflammatory changes and the presence of free fluid. GLO:HWR/01dec19:ans14989-fig-0001.jpg PHOTO (COLOR): Axial sections of the contrast-enhanced computed tomography scan displays a large well-defined heterogeneous lesion with large cystic component in the retroperitoneum with surrounding inflammatory changes and free fluid. Presence of the daughter cysts and calcification of the wall on contrast-enhanced computed tomography images is diagnostic.[5] Serological tests detecting IgG by ELISA may aid in preoperative diagnosis.
