A study of a single-center experience of 43 consecutive patients who underwent laparoscopic distal pancreatectomy (LDP) using endoscopic vascular stapler alone for pancreatic transection for treatment of lesions in the body or tail of pancreas, is presented. Topics covered include number of patients who achieved spleen preservation, rate of patients who developed pancreatic fistula (PF) and median operative time. |
