مستخلص: The article discusses factors associated with the prevalence of bronchial hyper-responsiveness (BHR) on children who react with wheezing on the onset viral infections. It cites several studies that investigated the contributory factors in the development of BHR at school age, which includes the study conducted by Mari Hyvärinen and company, the well-known Tucson study, a Finnish follow-up study, and a cohort study from Gothenburg. Moreover, it discusses the differences in the results generated in the four studies on BHR at school age and concluded that the differences reflect that host characteristics is of more importance than the type of virus triggering the development of BHR.
