The article looks at the study which analysed the presence and frequency of pain in patients seeking dermatological care and variations in pain by age and sex, clinical characteristics of pain, with a focus on neuropathic pain. It mentions associations between skin diseases and burden of pain including leg and pressure ulcers, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis (AD), sexually transmitted diseases (STD) and reactive skin were proposed. It also mentions intercorrelations between itch, pain and fatigue. |
