الوصف: In order to improve the overload ability of permanent magnet (PM) torque motor, a PM torque motor made by oriented silicon steel sheets is proposed in this paper. The proposed motor is constructed with single tooth assembly structure, which make the rolling direction coincides with the radial direction and the cutting direction coincides with the peripheral direction. Because of the higher saturation magnetic density of the rolling direction, the proposed motor can present higher overload ability. The finite element software ANSOFT is employed to simulate the load torque, and the simulation results show the motor with oriented silicon steel sheets can provide higher torque with the same condition compared with the non-oriented ones. And then by adjusting the width of tooth, the narrower tooth width can make the overload ability advantage of oriented silicon steel sheets motor more obviously.
