The paper describes a BLE SoC, based on TSMC 40nm process, designed for mass production. The power consumption is less than 10mW when getting −95dBm sensitivity level, 11mW when transmitting power is at 0dBm level, less than 1uA in sleep mode. Embedded buck DCDC at 85% of energy efficiency. The low power consumption would greatly enhance the standby time frame in application. At the same time, with built-in RF matching network, it wouldn't need external RF matching components, so the BOM cost would be lower.
