مستخلص: The article discusses a study on the effects of sandflats disturbance by thin terrigenous sediment deposits on biodiversity-ecosystem functioning (BEF) in Whangapoua Harbour, New Zealand. The study used a two-factor orthogonal analysis of variance. It reveals that disturbance of terrigenous sediments affected macrofauna and sediment characteristics, which contributed to changes in primary production and nutrient cycling of ecosystem.
