The article focuses on the proposed study which will explore the experiences of Sri Lanka's Gal Oya water management project that was implemented in 1981 and 1986. The study will also assess the condition of the project to come up with a better understanding on the strategies needed for future water management directions. International Water Management Institute (IWMI) collected information through a questionnaire survey with the help from the Irrigation Department to be released by mid-2011. |
