The article discusses a study that seeks to evaluate the correlation between the concentration and timing of salivary and blood lactate level in endurance athletes and non-athletes after a maximal treadmill test. Physiological and biochemical factors that affect lactate levels were also determined. A significant correlation between several measured parameters was found, in particular between salivary lactate and blood lactate levels in athletes, compared to the control group. |
