This article presents information on errors and omissions related to articles published in November issue of the journal "Business Insurance." A Nov. 1 story on public brokerages' directors contained incorrect information on Arthur J. Gallagher& amp; Co.'s board. The company has nine board members, two of whom are insiders, Robert E. Gallagher and J. Patrick Gallagher Jr. After a restructuring of its board earlier this year, James W. Durkin Jr., president of Gallagher Benefit Services Inc., stepped down as a director. A Nov. 1 story mistakenly reported that TAP Pharmaceuticals Inc. is not a client of Marsh Inc. TAP is a client of the brokerage. The Nov. 1 editorial wrongly stated that at least six of the world's 10 largest brokers have ceased accepting contingent compensation. Heath Lambert Group Ltd. is among the world's largest brokerage firms but is not in the top 10. |
