مستخلص: Entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs are the most potential categories of human resources, who contribute to the success of organizations. A study was undertaken with an objective to identify the similarities and differences in competencies of the entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs, and to understand whether there is a significant difference between competencies considered to be important and frequently used by entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs for the successful performance of their respective activities. A self-rating questionnaire developed by Jolandi Zwemstra, Erasmus University, Rotterdam, in 2006 was administered among a sample of 30 entrepreneurs and 30 intrapreneurs. The findings of the study indicate that intrapreneurs have rated managerial behavior competencies as significantly more important and frequently used than entrepreneurs. On the other hand, entrepreneurs have rated venturing behavior competencies as significantly more important and frequently used than intrapreneurs. Intrapreneurs found learning orientation competencies significantly more important, but however have used them less frequently. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
