مستخلص: The article offers information on a study which tested the hypothesis that the articular surface of the synovial joint can regenerate with a biological cue spatially embedded in an anatomically correct bioscaffold. Using a rabbit proximal humeral joint, the researchers constructed an anatomically correct bioscaffold using a composite of poly-ε-caprolactone and hydroxyapatite. Presented in details are the research findings. It concludes that the whole articular surface of the synovial joint can regenerate in the absence of cell transplantation.
