The article discusses an out-of-production device, called the WADI VLF-sonar device, used by a retired engineer Richard Varian, owner of Survey4Water in Willits, California, to read very-low-frequency radio waves to locate trapped water in rock fractures and cavities. The WADI was developed over 25 years ago by ABEM in Sundbyberg, Sweden, and has the same bandwidth used by the armed forces to communicate with submerged submarines. |
