الوصف: Introduction The Spasticity-Plus Syndrome (SPS) in multiple sclerosis (MS) refers to a combination of spasticity and other signs/symptoms such as spasms, cramps, bladder dysfunction, tremor, sleep disorder, pain, and fatigue. The main purpose is to develop a user-friendly tool that could help neurologists to detect SPS in MS patients as soon as possible. Methods A survey research based on a conjoint analysis approach was used. An orthogonal factorial design was employed to form 12 patient profiles combining, at random, the eight principal SPS signs/symptoms. Expert neurologists evaluated in a survey and a logistic regression model determined the weight of each SPS sign/symptom, classifying profiles as SPS or not. Results 72 neurologists participated in the survey answering the conjoint exercise. Logistic regression results of the survey showed the relative contribution of each sign/symptom to the classification as SPS. Spasticity was the most influential sign, followed by spasms, tremor, cramps, and bladder dysfunction. The goodness of fit of the model was appropriate (AUC = 0.816). Concordance between the experts’ evaluation vs. model estimation showed strong Pearson’s (r = 0.936) and Spearman’s (r = 0.893) correlation coefficients. The application of the algorithm provides with a probability of showing SPS and the following ranges are proposed to interpret the results: high (> 60%), moderate (30–60%), or low (< 30%) probability of SPS. Discussion This study offers an algorithmic tool to help healthcare professionals to identify SPS in MS patients. The use of this tool could simplify the management of SPS, reducing side effects related with polypharmacotherapy.

الوصف: Writing ability is one of the skills that must be mastered by grade VIII students in Indonesian language learning. Students’ ability to master the vocabulary and spelling of the words they use to express their ideas is very important in writing poetry. Based on the results of observations at Darul Hikam Junior High School, it shows that there are still student obstacles in writing poetry in class so that students feel less effective in expressing their ideas and objects. In addition, teachers still use traditional Indonesian language learning methods with teacher-related approaches in daily teaching and learning activities. A teacher’s skill in choosing effective learning strategies and methods can improve students’ poetry writing skills. Learning methods and strategies that increase students’ poetry writing skills are the Think Plus Strategy with the Outdoor Study Method. This study aims to find and explain the impact of thinking and strategies using the outdoor study method on grade VIII students of Smp Darul Hikam Kuwarasan in the 2023/2024 academic year. The method applied in this research is experimental method with one group pretest and posttest design. The sample in this study was formed from 24 students. Normality and homogeneity testing using the SPSS application illustrates the significance value of Sig. 0.571 > 0.05 and 0.412 > 0.05 illustrating that the class is normally distributed and homogeneous. Data on learning outcomes were analyzed using paired sample t-test with 5% confidence level. Based on the results of the SPSS test, the Sig (two-tailed) significance value is 0.032 <0.05, so it can be said that the strategy of thinking plus with the outdoor study method has a significant effect on improving the poetry writing skills of students in grade VIII of Darul Hikam Kuwarasan Junior High School in the 2023/2024 academic year. ; Kemampuan menulis yaitu salah satu keterampilan yang wajib dikuasai siswa kelas VIII pada pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia. الوصف: A search for a heavy CP-odd Higgs boson, A, decaying into a Z boson and a heavy CP-even Higgs boson, H, is presented. It uses the full LHC Run 2 dataset of pp collisions at root s = 13TeV collected with the ATLAS detector, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 140 fb(-1). The search for A -> ZH is performed in the l(+)l(-)t (t) over bar t and nu(nu) over barb (b) over bar final states and surpasses the reach of previous searches in different final states in the region with m(H) > 350 GeV and m(A) > 800 GeV. No significant deviation from the Standard Model expectation is found. Upper limits are placed on the production cross-section times the decay branching ratios. Limits with less model dependence are also presented as functions of the reconstructed m(t (t) over bar) and m(b (b) over bar) distributions in the l(+)l(-)t (t) over bar and nu(nu) over barb (b) over bar channels, respectively. In addition, the results are interpreted in the context of two-Higgs-doublet models.

الوصف: The first search for scalar leptoquarks produced in z-lepton-quark collisions is presented. It is based on a set of proton-proton collision data recorded with the CMS detector at the LHC at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 138 fb-1. The reconstructed final state consists of a jet, significant missing transverse momentum, and a z lepton reconstructed through its hadronic or leptonic decays. Limits are set on the product of the leptoquark production cross section and branching fraction and interpreted as exclusions in the plane of the leptoquark mass and the leptoquark-z-quark coupling strength. ; BMBWF, (Austria); FWF (Austria); FNRS, (Belgium); FWO (Belgium); CNPq, (Brazil); CAPES, (Brazil); FAPERJ, (Brazil); FAPERGS, (Brazil); FAPESP,(Brazil); MES, (Bulgaria); CONACYT; BNSF (Bulgaria); LNS; CERN, (China); SEP; CAS, (China); UASLP-FAI (Mexico); MoST, (China); MOS (Montenegro); NSFC, (China); MBIE (New Zealand); MINCIENCIAS (Colombia); PAEC (Pakistan); MSES, (Croatia); MES,(Poland); CSF (Croatia); NSC (Poland); RIF (Cyprus); FCT (Portugal); SENESCYT (Ecuador); MESTD (Serbia); MoER, (Estonia); MCIN/AEI,(Spain); ERC PUT, (Estonia); PCTI (Spain); ERDF, (Estonia); MOSTR (Sri Lanka); Academy of Finland; Swiss Funding Agencies (Switzerland); MEC, (Finland); MST (Taipei); HIP, (Finland); MHESI, (Thailand); CEA, (France); NSTDA, (Thailand); CNRS/IN2P3 (France); TUBITAK, (Turkey); BMBF, (Germany); TENMAK (Turkey); DFG, (Germany); NASU (Ukraine); HGF, (Germany); STFC (United Kingdom); DOE, (USA); GSRI (Greece); NSF (USA); NKFIH (Hungary); DAE, (India); DST, (India); IPM (Iran); SFI (Ireland); INFN (Italy); MSIP, (Republic of Korea); NRF (Republic of Korea); MES (Latvia); LAS (Lithuania); MOE, (Malaysia); UM, (Malaysia); BUAP; CINVESTAV ; We congratulate our colleagues in the CERN accelerator departments for the excellent performance of the LHC and thank the technical and administrative staffs at CERN and at other CMS institutes for their contributions to the success of the CMS ...

الوصف: Mental health disorders are one of the most common causes that limit the ability of mothers to care for themselves and for their children. Recent data suggest high rates of distress among women in charge of young children in Zambia. Nevertheless, Zambia’s public healthcare offers very limited treatment for common mental health distress. To address this treatment gap, this study aims to test the feasibility, acceptability, and potential efficacy of a context-adapted psychosocial intervention. A total of 265 mothers with mental health needs (defined as SRQ-20 scores above 7) were randomly assigned with equal probability to the intervention or control group. The intervention group will receive a locally adapted version of the Problem-Management Plus and “Thinking Healthy” interventions developed by the World Health Organization (WHO), combined with specific parts of the Strong Minds-Strong Communities intervention. Trained and closely supervised wellbeing-community health workers will provide the psychosocial intervention. Mental health distress and attendance to the intervention will be assessed at enrollment and 6 months after the intervention. We will estimate the impact of the intervention on mental health distress using an intention-to-treat approach. We previously found that there is a large necessity for interventions that aim to address mother anxiety/depression problems. In this study, we tested the feasibility and efficacy of an innovative intervention, demonstrating that implementing these mental health treatments in low-income settings, such as Zambia, is viable with an adequate support system. If successful, larger studies will be needed to test the effectiveness of the intervention with increased precision. Trial registration: This study is registered at clinicaltrials.gov as NCT05627206 .

الوصف: Background Nitrous oxide has shown potentially as an efficacious intervention for treatment-resistant depression, yet there remains insufficient evidence pertaining to repeated administration of nitrous oxide over time and active placebo-controlled studies with optimal blinding. Thus, we aim to examine the feasibility and preliminary efficacy of a six-week follow up study examining the effects of a 4 week course of weekly administered nitrous oxide as compared to the active placebo, midazolam. Methods In this randomized, active placebo-controlled, pilot trial, 40 participants with treatment-resistant depression will receive either inhaled nitrous oxide (1 hour at 50% concentration) plus intravenous saline (100mL) or inhaled oxygen (1 hour at 50% concentration) plus intravenous midazolam (0.02 mg/kg in 100mL, up to 2mg) once per week, for 4 consecutive weeks. Participants will be followed up for 6 weeks starting from the first treatment visit. Primary feasibility outcomes include recruitment rate, withdrawal rate, adherence, missing data, and adverse events. The primary exploratory clinical outcome is change in Montgomery-Åsberg Depression Rating Scale (MADRS) score at day 42 of the study. Other exploratory clinical outcomes include remission (defined as MADRS score <10), response (defined as ≥ 50% reduction in MADRS score), and adverse side effects. Discussion This pilot study will provide valuable information regarding the feasibility and preliminary efficacy of repeated nitrous oxide administration over time for treatment-resistant depression. If feasible, this study will inform the design of a future definitive trial of nitrous oxide as an efficacious and fast-acting treatment for treatment-resistant depression. Trial registration ClinicalTrials.gov NCT04957368 . Registered on July 12, 2021.
