The article describes three cases of necrotizing crescentic glomerulonephritis (NCGN) associated with systemic vasculitis, which were positive for human neutrophil elastase antibody (HNE-ANCA) but not for myeloperoxidase (MPO) or proteinase 3 (PR3). Case number 1 involves a 66-year-old man who was referred for asthenia, anorexia and abdominal pain. The other two involves an 84-year-old male who was admitted for progressive respiratory failure with alveolar haemorrhage and a 46-year-old male who was hospitalized for dyspnoea and arthralgia. |
