The article presents a case study of a 48-year-old man suffering from listeria rhomboencephalitis. The patient gradually developed unsteadiness associated with nausea, vomiting and malaise. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the brain showed abnormal high T2 signal within the brainstem. Blood tests showed no abnormalities except C reactive protein of 41 mmol/l and random plasma glucose of 10 mmol/l. |
