The article focuses on a study which determines efficacy of the drug citicoline in the treatment of acute ischemic stroke. It mentions the applied methodology of the trials which includes providing citicoline or placebo medicines within 24 hours of the onset of symptoms in a 1:1 ratio to the patients.
