مستخلص: The article reports on a case which illustrates the importance of deep analgosedation in the management of autonomic dysfunction in severe tetanus. The patient, who is a 68-year-old man, displayed the clinical symptoms of tetanus including trismus, risus sardonicus and opisthotonus. A variety of drugs was administered to control the autonomic dysfunction which included midazolam, sufentanil, emolol and intrathecal baclofen.
