The Upper Passaic River Riparian Conservation Plan assesses the current state of the riparian forest along the Passaic River and identifies opportunities for future changes that will improve the health of the Passaic River. Emphasis is placed upon water quality assessments and riparian forest buffers. ; Prepared for the Townships of Bernards, Berkeley Heights, Long Hill, and the Borough of Chatham with a grant from the Department of Environmental Protection, Office of Environmental Services and funded by the Townships of Bernards, Berkeley Heights, Long Hill, and the Borough of Chatham. ; Purpose: To examine the current state of the riparian forest along the Passaic River and identify opportunities to decrease nutrient inputs to the river through the restoration and protection of riparian forest buffers. |
