الوصف: This article deals with the transformations over time of a district of the historic center of Bordeaux, Mériadeck. In particular, it attempts to describe the architectural upheavals that occurred during the 1960s and continued until the 1990s, as well as their effects on local heritage, both tangible and intangible. Identifying, on the one hand, the cultural singularities of this popular district, still perceptible in the 1950s before its demolition, on the other hand, the peculiarities and the richness of its habitat, this article highlights the rupture caused by its total renovation. Beyond the reasons used to justify the destruction of this historic district, history reveals an 18th-century architecture simi­lar to that of many famous Bordeaux neighborhoods, classified since 2007 as UNESCO heritage, as well as cultural practices. and a folklore arousing attempts at memorial preservation. ; Este artículo trata sobre las transformaciones que ha sufrido Mériadeck, un barrio del centro histórico de Bordeaux, especialmente aquellas mutaciones arquitectónicas ocurridas desde la década de 1960 y hasta finales del siglo XX, con el propósito de comprender sus efectos sobre el patrimonio local material e inmaterial. Al identificar las particu­laridades culturales de este distrito popular -aun vivas en la década de 1950, antes de su demolición-, y al reconocer la singularidad y la riqueza de su hábitat, este artículo hace énfasis en la ruptura provocada a partir de su renovación total. Más allá de los argumentos esgrimidos para justificar la destrucción de este distrito histórico, la historia nos revela una arquitectura del siglo XVIII similar a la de la mayoría de los barrios prestigiosos de Bordeaux, catalogados desde 2007 como patrimonio de la UNESCO; así como la existencia de una serie de prácticas culturales y de un fol­clore que despiertan en su conjunto el deseo de garantizar su conservación conmemorativa. ; Cet article traite des transformations qu’a connues au fil du temps un quartier du centre historique de ...

الوصف: This text introduces the issues discussed during the event Public thinking: a tribute to Guillermo Hoyos-Vásquez. The bottom line is the problem of civic education in social movements, which implies considering social movements as platforms for education that are capable of constructing new social realities and emerging subjectivities. This approach to social movements as actors in civic education brings along some fundamental characteristics of the potential of collective actions: a) the reflexive capacity in order to put forward moral criteria to judge and value situations of domination and exclusion naturalized by the systems of power, as unfair situations and to question the politically correct; b) to define the authority of social collectives to communicate relevant experience for the construction of collective memory; c) to explore the possibilities of shaping political identities; d) to emphasize on the emotional repertoire that moves along expressions of struggle and resistance; and e) to understand antagonisms and dissents as political dimensions of collective actions. ; El texto presenta los planteamientos expuestos en el evento Pensar en Público: homenaje al pensamiento del maestro Guillermo Hoyos-Vásquez. Se pregunta por la educación para la ciudadanía en y desde los movimientos sociales. Lo que supone asumir los movimientos sociales como espacios educativos con capacidad de construcción de nuevas realidades sociales y de subjetividades emergentes.
