| الوصف: | In the first year after sowing the following legumes predominated on the slopes of dikes: red clover (Trifolium pratense L.) and alsike clover (Trifolium hybridum L.), and the following grasses: perennial ryegrass (Lolium perenne L.), common timothy (Phleum pratense L.), meadow fescue (Festuca pratensis Huds.), smooth bromegrass (Bromopsis inermis Leyss.). After stabilisation of grasslands' botanical composition the following swards predominated the slopes of dikes: smooth bromegrass (Bromopsis inermis Leyss.), red fescue (Festuca rubra L.), smooth-stalked meadow-grass (Poa pratensis L.). In the lower part of the slope, where the level of groundwater table was about 0.1-0.5 m, the following swards predominated: reed canary grass (Phalaroides anmdinacea (L) Kanschert.) and creeping bent grass (Agrostis stolonifera L.). An empirical formula can be used for the calculation of the botanical composition of grassland on different parts on the slope [2]. The productivity of slope grasslands was very good -about 10 t/ha. An empirical formula can be used for the calculation of the productivity of different parts of the slope of polder dikes in the Lower Nemunas [3]. |
