Yayınlanma izni olmayan tezlerin basılı kopyalarına Üniversite kütüphaneniz aracılığıyla (TÜBESS üzerinden) erişebilirsiniz. ; EK_4 SUMMARY The aim of this study is to investigate the reliability and the validity of the Millon Clinical Multiaxial Inventory-Ill (MCMI-III) which is based upon DSM-IV and Millon's theory of personality in Turkish psychiatric patients. The sample consisted of 215 psychiatric patients who were 137 men and 78 women. Diagnostically, the sample included Major Depression (n=70), Psychotic Disorder (Schizophrenia and Delusional Disorder)(n=34), Anxiety Disorder (n=44), Bipolar Manic Episode (n=13), Alcohol Dependence (n=32), Somatoform Disorder (n=17) and Other Disorders (n=5). MCMI-III was translated into Turkish because of it was used first in this study. Internal consistency coefficients of subscales were found rather high except Histrionic, Compulsive and Desirability. In factor analysis was abtained for factors. It was found that results of the factor analysis were similar with structure of MCMI-III. MCMI-III subscales scores of patients in different diagnosis groups were compared with MANOVA. According to diagnosis groups, it was found significant differentiation at Schizoid, Histrionic, Narcissistic, Antisocial, Borderline, Alcohol and Drug Dependence, Major Depression, Delusional Disorder, Desirability and Debasement subscales. Effects of education, sex and age variables to the MCMI-III subscales scores were investigated with MANOVA. Results of analysis revealed that education, sex and age variables had effects on the MCMI-III subscales scores. Finally, correlations were researched between Turkish raw scores and American base rate scores. It was found quite high correlations between the raw scores and the base rate scores. T.C.
