The objective of this article is to analyse the discourses of construction of the black and indigenous alterities in Colombia from the educational processes for these communities before the promulgation of the 1991 constitution. By the method used in Critical Discourse Studies. According to the research results, education for indigenous and black people in what we know today as Colombia has lived three moments that have been faithful representation of the discursive reality for these populations. A first phase of normalization elimination in the colony and first part of the Republic in which it was intended to erase the "wild" characteristics of the natives of these lands and blacks, that is, to eliminate their cultural conditions; a second moment when the Republic is “consolidated” and that goes until the mid-twentieth century that is characterized by the intention of building a cohesive nation, hence the educational processes for the communities in question pretend their integration into the nation and finally ; a period of emergency of the social movements that goes from the mid-seventies to the nineties in which many of the claims of various sectors are institutionalized in multiple areas, including ethno-education for indigenous people and blacks in the country. It is concluded that education for indigenous people and blacks in Colombia has been a reproduction of the general speeches prevailing at every historical moment in the country. ; El presente artículo analiza los discursos de construcción y producción de las alteridades negras e indígenas en Colombia a partir de los procesos educativos para estas comunidades antes de la promulgación de la constitución de 1991. Metodológicamente, se utilizaron las herramientas que proporcionan los Estudios Críticos del Discurso (ECD) a partir de su enfoque político, el cual implica, necesariamente, pensar en las subsecuentes transformaciones derivadas de la crítica a la realidad estudiada.
