الوصف: Study of the irregularity of the walking cadence using inertial sensors in frail elderly people. The deterioration of gait parameters, in particular in the irregularity of the walking cadence is a predictive indicator for frailty. Inertial sensors are among the most relevant tools for assessing mobility. With the development of technologies, gait assessment and frailty screening could be done early and in ecological situation. Experiment was conducted to explore the relevance of a walking score calculated from the frequency analysis of a step taken from an accelerometer, implanted in a watch to detect irregularity of walking of frail people. Pilot, cross-sectional, observational, exploratory and unicentric study. Conducted in PMR department of the Bordeaux University Hospital, on 12 patients, classified into frail and robust groups according to frail criteria. Performing a 2 minutes walking test with an accelerometer and walk analysis via the GAITrite electronic system. The irregularity of the walking cadence was estimated by a value of the coefficient of variation of the stride time greater than 2,6% and the presence of a walking score less than or equal to 6 out of 10 on the frequency analysis. A comparison of the accelerometer against GAITrite was then made. Results from 12 subjects (6 frail and 6 robust) show that the coefficient of variation of the stride time calculated from GAITrite was 3,95% in the frail group and 1,57% in the robust group. The average walking score from the accelerometer was 3,7 in the frail group and 7,83 in the robust group. The comparison with GAITrite data allows us to estimate a sensitivity of 80% and a specificity of 71%, a positive predictive value at 66% and negative predictive value at 83% for our accelerometer. The gait frequency accelerometric analysis seems relevant for exploiting and performing the tools for the study of frailty in the elderly. ; La détérioration des paramètres de la marche, notamment l’irrégularité de la cadence de marche est un indicateur prédictif de ...
