الوصف: The training/accreditation (T/A) of pharmacy technicians in the chemotherapy preparation activity is essential for the quality continuous improvement and securing the medication management of patients in health establishments (HE). The work aim was to establish, as a first step, an educational tools inventory used in France. There are a lot of tools, used in a very disparate way, without evaluation of their effectiveness and not integrated into a global model. In order to compare with the T/A modalities currently used in the French centralized cytotoxic preparation unit’s (CPU), the second part evaluated models used and the current team’s needs. The opinion of 133 PPH and 42 pharmacists working in different structures was received. This results analysis identified necessary and indispensable educational models, as well as their durations and frequencies of use. Mentoring, procedural and crisis management simulation merged as essential. This work led, in the third part, to the development of a standardized model answer to the identified needs. The 5 major stages are: 1) assessment of knowledge/skills, 2) training for taking up a position, 3) accreditation for taking up a position, 4) continuing training, 5) renewal of accreditation. Each stage benefits from adapted teaching tools, according to a sequencing and defined durations. In order to assess the practicability of its implementation in all French CPUs, a study was carried out within 5 CPUs in Normandy through interviews with the pharmacy technicians and referring pharmacists. This evaluation revealed an average practicability of 71%. Areas for improvement applied to accreditation duration and too long continuing training, hours distribution dedicated to observation and mentoring and tools associations to be modulated according to the learner experiences. The application of this model in a majority of French CPUs would make it possible to standardize the pharmacy technician training’s and get access to educational content. It would also be very interesting to ...
