الوصف: | In this paper, we present a method to analyse the millimeter-wave (mm-wave) radio channel scatterers applied to channel sounding at 32 GHz in an urban microcell (UMi) environment in the city of Espoo (Finland). The proposed method is based on a geometric single bounce assumption for recovering the scatterer positions. A simple formulation exploiting the discovered scatterer positions allows quantifying the excess-loss to free space for each scatterer. We found that large building walls, as well as small urban furniture such as metallic sign-board reflectors, are objects producing reflections and strong scattering. Finally, their radar cross-section and equivalent scattering area are estimated. ; Peer reviewed |
