Beta cell function, measured as the average C-peptide response to a mixed meal (CP SB AVE sb ), is commonly used to assess the effectiveness of immune therapy in recent-onset type 1 diabetes. A similar pattern for CP SB EST sb was also observed, although CP SB EST sb was significantly higher than CP SB AVE sb at 3, 6 and 12 months. [Extracted from the article] |
